Festival Foods' new headquarters building created a bit of buzz in the community when it opened last year. Our board has been pursuing a tour for the chapter and has finally arranged a coveted inside look at their new spaces next week.

Festival Foods made the decision to bring their headquarters to northeast Wisconsin from Onalaska, where the 25-store chain began in 1946. They contracted with Performa to design their facility, desiring an environment that would create a cohesive story of company history, philosophy and brand and would foster collaboration and help retain committed employees.

As one would expect, branding plays a key role in the headquarters for a major retailer. Festival's 70-year history is woven into the fabric of its spaces; attention is paid as well to linking daily retail operations in the stores themselves to the work done by employees at the home office, fostering connections across different areas of operations. Brian Netzel, Principal and lead designer for Performa, will lead the tour and in-depth review of the project that has taken Festival Foods to the next level in their growth and gives them a platform to continue to grow and evolve.

We will get a chance to see the successful outcome to the project on Tuesday, October 24th. In order to minimize the disruption of workflow, Festival Foods has requested that we conduct our tour after hours. Please arrive between 4:30 and 5:00pm; the tour will begin promptly at 5:00.
