The long awaited Schreiber Foods Tour is here. Our hosts at Schreiber have requested that this tour be limited to members only.
The new downtown Schreiber Foods Inc. headquarters combines modern office amenities with state-of-the-art facilities for food product development and testing.
Schreiber Foods announced in June 2011 that the employee-owned maker of cream cheese, processed cheese and other dairy products would build a new headquarters and technology center at the corner of Main Street and Washington Street.
An estimated 700 employees wewe consolidated there from among a half-dozen locations throughout the Green Bay area, including the company's old headquarters at 425 Pine St.
The city of Green Bay demolished the empty Port Plaza Mall and also purchased and donated the adjacent Days Inn hotel, which also was later bulldozed. In all, the city committed to about $14 million in assistance for the Schreiber Foods project.
