An introduction to The Blue Book Network’s BB-Bid, Get-Bids mobile solution and Concierge Service so you can save time, money and energy.

 Facility Managers face many challenges in the maintenance and renovation of their buildings. The Blue Book Building and Construction Network has a variety of FREE, web-based solutions and a team of people that can help you meet these challenges and Improve workflow. Our presentation will identify those challenges and provide a brief overview of the support and technology that is available to help – at no charge.

After our presentation, Facility Managers will better understand how to utilize The Blue Book Network’s FREE services to:

  • Qualify your vendors using a customizable prequalification form
  • Effectively communicate project requirements to your private vendors and (if needed) Blue Book Network vendors.
  • Distribute documents easily and securely via a private online plan room
  • Generate reports to review message delivery, responses, and plan room activity.
  • Utilize a targeted building product search engine to find information on products and suppliers for pricing.

 

Information about the Presenter

Ed Haege’s Professional Biography

BB-Bid Product Manager, Ed Haege began his career in the construction and building industry as a News Reporter for the McGraw-Hill Companies’ F.W. Dodge Division in 1985. 

In 1989, Dutch Boy Waterproofing, Co., in Brewster, NY, hired Ed as their Sales/Estimator.  He was responsible for identifying and pursuing commercial and residential project opportunities; preparing and submitting bid proposals; and contract negotiations.  

In 1993, he returned to F.W. Dodge as a Regional News Manager.  He was responsible for publishing a daily project news service for Eastern and Central New York that was covered by 20 News Reporters.

Ed joined The Blue Book in 1997 to manage the Research & Development Division.  He led a team of construction analysts that was responsible for maintaining the quality of existing regional books and identifying potential new markets.

In 1998, Ed was promoted to BB-Bid Product Manager.  His construction bidding knowledge and experience was instrumental in the creation and development of BB-Bid as well as many other Blue Book workflow solutions, including SyncWare, Vu360, and Get Bids, which are used by Facility Managers, Property Managers, and General Contractors.
