Two lifetimes would not be enough time for a facility manager to become an expert in every aspect of building construction, operation and maintenance that she or he touches. Yet every time a project arises or an RFP needs to go out, everyone expects that an FM will be that expert. Add to that the increasing implementation of AI that will drastically increase the risk of automating or outsourcing white-collar FM jobs in not-too-distant future, and you have a recipe for a tectonic shift in the world of FM.
Dr. Dean Kashiwagi, PhD, P.E., IFMA Fellow and Fulbright Scholar, has developed methods to address these shifts both now and in the future. Join us for a presentation on the changes facing our industry due to AI and automation and learn how to future-proof yourself by becoming leader that knows how to improve performance and cut costs by identifying and utilizing outside expertise rather than being a technical expert on all building aspects. A researcher at Arizona State University at the Del E. Webb School of Construction, Dr. Dean has authored multiple system for project/procurement deliverables including the Best Value Approach (BVA), a proven method to deliver projects, goods and services with better results, on time and at or below budget. This system has been utilized by universities, government entities and private companies around the world to deliver over 2,000 projects worth upwards of $6.6 billion dollars with 94% on budget, 95% on time and a 98% satisfaction rate.
Sound to good to be true? Come to this in-person remote presentation and judge for yourself. Dr. Dean Kashiwagi and his team will be there to show you how and, if you are convinced, will invite you to bring your projects to them for free assistance in adopting their methods. All attendees will also receive a free copy of his book on the subject.
